Do you know what is horribly embarrassing? Having iTunes run into problems while downloading a pre-order. Then having to admit to the Apple Support person that you not only bought the new Kris Allen CD, but you pre-ordered it several weeks in advance. Oh enthralling tones of an acoustic guitar–what you do to me.

Ooooooh. That is pretty embarassing. Not as embarassing as the experience that Kim & I took in Target yesterday, though. We found the “illustrated movie companion” for New Moon, and were delighted to discover that there is a photo inside of Alice’s “flash foward” (if you will) to Bella & Edward’s future. You know the one. The frolicking through the woods. FROLICKING. The part where every single person in the theater groaned (this is one case where the “show, don’t tell” principle should NOT have been followed). So naturally I had to take a photo of the photo to submit to the Twi-snark email thread, since I can’t find a damn photo of it anywhere online. However, there were a LOT of people around, and they definitely thought we were squealing fangirls, especially when we flipped through the book for 10 minutes trying to find a shirtless picture of Edward so that Kim could show me R-Patz’s left nipple (she swears it was all fucked up and crazy-looking; I was too busy focusing on his back hair to pay attention). Interestingly, there were no shirtless photos of R-Patz to be found, though there were about 50 of Wolfboy. Anyway, the point is, at a certain point we realized that people were definitely laughing at us. Sooooo- you’re not alone in your pop culture shame.
